CUG School of Foreign Language Celebrated the 20th Anniversary of Establishment

On the afternoon of Dec 7th, CUG School of Foreign Language held the meeting of celebrating the 20th anniversary of establishment in the lecture hall of Yingbin Building. CUG Party Secretary Hao Xiang, vice President Tang Huiming, Lai Xulong, and the premier leaders Zhang Jingao and Ding Zhenguo, as well as the related faculties and the main officers of the related functional departments, the directors of the cooperated units, the stuff of School of Foreign Language, and 280 student representatives, attended the meeting.

Zhang Jidei, Party Secretary of School of Foreign Language, presided over the meeting.

CUG Party Secretary Han Xiang made a speech. He reminded development in the past 20 years and highly evaluated the achievements in public foreign language teaching, professional teaching, discipline construction, science research and international cooperation. He encouraged the stuff to continue their work and make great contribution to CUG foreign language teaching and future development.

Professor Dong Yuanxing, dean of School of Foreign Language, reported the development of the school from five aspects of historical reform, teaching stuff, discipline construction, science research, talent training and future prospection. On behalf of the stuff, he expressed deep thanks to CUG leaders and other units for their continuing supports.

Fu Qiang, the chairman of Chuanshen (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd, and Chen Juxian, the general manager of Beijing Aochen International Education Co., Ltd, made speeches respectively, in which they expressed their congratulations for the school’s achievements and their desire for deep cooperation in the future.

Yan Wei, on behalf of the alumna, shared his growth experience.

Professor Hu Zhihong, on behalf of teachers, and student representative Ma Mingliang, gave speeches representatively.

At the teacher forum, professor Zhang Jingao, and professor Ding Zhenguo discussed with teacher representatives actively. Zhang Jidei made the summarized speech, in which he hoped all the participants could continue concern the school’s development.

At the alumnus seminar, lots of alumna presented their wishes to School of Foreign Language.
